Lucent removes backgrounds from photos with an AI model that runs on your own machine. The model is executed in the browser through ONNX Runtime and WebAssembly, so nothing is uploaded to a server and there are no credits, watermarks or subscriptions.
Paste an image straight from the clipboard or drop a file, then check the result with a before-and-after slider. Keep the cut-out transparent or place it on a solid colour, a gradient or your own background image, and download it at full resolution.
It is a Vite and React app written in TypeScript and styled with Tailwind CSS.
